HIGHLIGHTS

HIGHLIGHTS

Pick Up At Your Stay

Your private tour guide will pick you up at your stay downtown! Together you'll reach the starting point of your Food Tour.

Campo de'Fiori Market

Our tour starts at Campo the Fiori right in the heart of the city center. This area is certainly one of the most suggestive in Rome. A vibrant atmosphere runs through the busy market square where stalls and shops sell Italian items and food.
Together we'll stop at the market where you'll have the chance to try samples of fresh food and get to know better local products and ingredients. Be ready to try samples of fresh fruit, cured meat, different types of oils and cheeses!

The surrounding area is full of shops where it's possible to buy typical Italian products (cheese, pasta and so on)... If you are in the mood for some shopping ask your private tour guide for advise!

Walk Through The Narrow Streets of Rome

We will continue our tour strolling around the area nearby Campo de' Fiori and during this nice walk we'll have the chance to stop to admire the beautiful Palazzo Farnese, that is one of the most important Renaissance building in Rome currently serving as the French embassy in Italy. Your private tour guide will then bring you to admire the famous “forced perspective” gallery by Francesco Borromini at Palazzo Spada. We will have time to stop and appreciate the beauty of the its inner courtyard where you can take amazing pictures!

Try The Real Roman Pizza!

Located just off Campo De Fiori, you'll discover one of the gem of the Roman culinary tradition: one of the oldest bakery in Rome! Your private tour guide will bring you to the best pizza tasting ever, where you'll discover different flavors and the genuine ingredients and cooking techniques that make the Italian pizza taste so good! This place really offers a wide variety of food and dishes, so you will have a lot of choice!

Italian Gelato and Panna

During your stay you'll probably notice that ice-cream parlors are almost everywhere! There’s a very simple explanation for this: real Romans like gelato very much and they consider it the perfect ending of a nice afternoon walk or as an after-dinner snack!
Our food tour would not be complete without the dessert! Be ready to try one of the best gelato in Rome! You cannot say to have tried all the Roman flavors without tasting a cup or cone of gelato and panna, the delicious whipped cream that makes Italian pastry-making famous all over the world!
