One of the most authoritative Italian online magazine on food, Scatti di Gusto, has recently published a list of the best 100 restaurants in Rome. We decided to narrow this list down to the top 10 restaurants, including both the first 5 Michelin-starred venues and chefs, and the first top 5 local trattorias.

1. Imàgo – Hotel Hassler
Located at the 6th floor of the Hassler hotel in Rome, Imàgo offers a unique panoramic view over the city and a stunning culinary experience.

2. La Pergola – Rome Cavalieri
La Pergola is the only restaurants in Rome which received the great honor of 3 Michelin Stars, thanks to the hard work of the Head Chef Heinz Beck and his crew.
During the years, authoritative guides such as l’Espresso and Gambero Rosso have consistently voted La Pergola the “Best Restaurant in Rome”. Its fine location and exclusive ambience inside the Cavalieri Hotel are perfectly matched with its culinary excellence.

3. La Trota
In Rivodutri, a small Italian municipality of 200 inhabitants, less than 100km away from Rome, there’s la Trota restaurant, established and run by two amazing chefs and brothers, Sandro and Maurizio Serva.
It took the two brothers almost 30 years of hard work to make their culinary philosophy, which consist in elevating simple and poor ingredients to the excellence, to earn two Michelin Stars.
This restaurant is now renowned for its superb menu of carp, tench, freshwater crayfish, eels, pike and, of course, trout and for its relaxing atmosphere.

4. Il Pagliaccio
